J F Alcock Memorial Prize

Awarded annually for a paper to be published by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers or a contribution, which concentrates on technical innovation in the railway traction field.

Eligibility

Open to members and non-members of the Institution, worldwide.

Application process

Judging

The Judging Committee comprises:

• Chair, Railway Industry Association of Great Britain
• Chair, Technical Committee, Railway Division, IMechE
• Two other members of the Technical Committee, Railway Division.

Award value

One or more can be chosen up to the £1,000 budget allocation from the following five Prize Serials:

• Richard Herbert Innes Prize
• W A Agnew/ C N Goodall Award
• A R Bennett Premium / C S Lake 
• T A Stewart-Dyer / F Trevithick
• J F Alcock Memorial Prize

N.B. No prize should be less than £100.
