Tribology Bronze Medal Award (Serial 453)

Trust Conditions

The Tribology Award Fund was established in 1969. A total of £10,000 was raised.

Up to three medals for technical contributions by students or others working or researching in Tribology can be awarded in a given year.

 

Award Conditions

The Tribology Bronze Medal is an encouragement award for engineers and scientists working in the fields of friction, lubrication and wear, i.e., tribologists – both those working or studying full-time – who haven’t yet completed their formal education and training.

Candidates are allowed to apply for the Bronze Award themselves.  However, they must supply details of a suitable referee, eg tutor, employer or supervisor.  Applications and full citations must be received by the deadline.  Candidates can be of any nationality.  However, they must be either normally resident in the UK or working or studying in the UK when the contribution under consideration was made.
